Our New House

in Jamaica Plain

      So we found a house. What a great relief, especially since it's so great. It's in Jamaica Plain which is south west of downtown Boston (check out the Jamaica Plain homepage). It's a great area and we're only a 10 minute from Jamaica Plain center and from the T (subway). We're also close to Jamiaca Pond, a nice place to walk or skate around. It's a three level apartment in a two-family house. The first two levels have hardwood floors and the third is carpeted. there are four bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms. All of the lighting is recessed and every room has a dimmer for the lights. The first floor is a livingroom, diningroom, kitchen, and laundry room. There is a back staircase and a front staircase going to the second floor where there are two bedrooms and a huge bathroom. On the third floor there are two bedrooms with skylights. Off of the larger of these bedrooms there is a 1/2 bathroom.
